"I have been studying yoga with Paula Kyle since 1992.  I have watched her grow into a master teacher as she chose Kali Ray Triyoga as her preferred form of expression to share with her beloved students.  Paula is a gifted, nurturing and inspired human being with enormous creative and physical energy.  Her teaching methods attest to her deep understanding and appreciation for the power and the peace, the spiritual and the physical, the beauty and the precision of the the energy flows that make Kali Ray Triyoga unique.  Paula empowers her student to challenge themselves to achieve the greatest possible physical strength and peace of mind.  In short, Paula Kyle is the real thing. and I am proud to be her student."

"When I first met Paula Kyle, 6 years ago, I had spent most of my life immobilized with chronic pain, which was finally diagnosed as Fibromyalgia.  For many years I was literally locked from the base of my head to below the waist with muscle spasms, and every movement I made caused great discomfort.

After I was diagnosed, in my early forties, my doctor recommended that I take up a physical activity that was highly aerobic in nature.  It seems that aerobic exercise helps to mitigate the chronic pain of Fibromyalgia, and I found that this was true after I took up running.  However, running was the only exercise which elevated my heartrate to appropriate levels, and after several years of being a runner, I realized that it was taking a toll elsewhere.  My knees began to bother me, and I also severely strained a gluteal muscle during a 10-mile run.  My doctor advised me to take up other activities that would not create so much impact on these areas, but I was totally clueless about what to do that would not harm me or trigger muscle spasms.

It was at about this time that I met Paula, and she suggested that I begin taking classes with her, doing Tri-yoga.  She explained how the Tri-yoga system works, gently and slowly as the practioner builds strength in all muscle systems of the body, equally on each side of the body.  I was cautious and a little fearful of proceeding, but am ever so glad that Paula helped me overcome my initial inhibitions.  She has worked with me over the course of 3 years, at first using props and workarounds so that I could condition my body to learn the correct postures and stances.  The result has been totally amazing, and as a 54 year old woman who was once afraid to move any part of her body at all, I can now do stretches, balances, and a variety of postures that I would never have thought possible.  It has been exciting and liberating to build my upper body strength and to realize that the way in which Paula has approached this with me has balanced out my muscle strength so that the Fibromyalgia trigger points that have caused me so much grief over the years are now very much neutralized.  I still have to be careful, but am no longer sabotaged by the most simple everyday activities.  I would strongly recommend Tri-yoga to anyone who has a physical handicap involving their skeletal/muscular systems, and I would even more strongly recommend Paula as a teacher, because she is compassionate, patient, and very, very savvy about how to help people gain the strength that they need to endure on a day-to-day basis."

"As an avid yoga student of Paula Kyle for the past four years, I have rarely missed a class. As much as the yoga training itself, it is Paula’s engaging teaching style, warm heart, and endearing personality that compel me to return week after week. During these years, I have witnessed Paula instruct students in a gentle yet firm manner, motivating us all to breathe deeper, stretch farther, and most of all, relax.

With long hours spent at my desk, stepping away for a yoga class is welcome opportunity. I wouldn’t make time to exercise otherwise. And since I started taking yoga class, I’ve found that my health has become a higher priority. I am grateful for an employer concerned enough about my well-being that they seek to provide a variety of options for staying healthy.
